We Are Open For Business – 17th May 2021

We have prepared our boutique bed and breakfast hotel for re-opening so that we can offer a safe service whilst protecting staff and customers alike. We have adopted Government advice to keep The Oxford Townhouse “Covid-Secure”.

Until such time as the Government says we can return to usual service, the following will supersede information found in our confirmations, website or third party sites.

Enhanced Cleaning

In addition to our already exceptional standard of cleanliness, we now perform deep cleaning and disinfecting of all rooms between guest stays and all high touch contact points within the building. Rooms will also remain vacant between guest stays.

We have set up hand sanitiser stations in reception and by our dining room. Each guest room also contains hand sanitiser to encourage regular use.

Social Distancing & Masks

To ensure safe distancing between yourselves, staff and other guests we have made the decision to re-open just 6 of our 15 guest rooms, which ensures low levels of people within the property.

Our dining room tables have been spaced to ensure a suitable gap between all patrons and each table can be accessed without coming close to other diners. We usually accommodate up to 28 people in our dining room but now, a maximum of 12.

Masks should be worn at all times within the property (except at breakfast or in your own guest room). This will be updated accordingly as new Government advice is received.

Contactless Check-In/ Check-Out/ Payment

In order to comply with Track & Trace requirements, guests will be required to check-in online and provide/ confirm all contact details and guest names are recorded accurately.
Check-out will also be completed in the same way, to confirm that you have departed your room and left the premises. Your details will be kept securely for a period of 21-days so they can be provided to NHS Track & Trace, if necessary.

During the online check-out, if not already pre-paid or covered by a third party, you will be asked to clear the balance of your accommodation.

We will contact you in advance of your reservation (24-hours prior to arrival) to provide property entrance details and relevant information you will need during your stay. We will do everything we can in the interest of keeping you and our staff safe.

Reception will have reduced operational hours but once checked in, you will be provided with a contact telephone number should you need assistance during your stay.

Breakfast Time

At breakfast time the offering will be somewhat reduced. To ensure guest safety, our buffet will be limited and we will not provide printed menus to peruse. Instead, we will wait on you at your table and provide offerings to include homemade cereals, hot drinks, juices, toast and of course, our delicious cooked breakfast – you won’t go hungry!

Evening Meal

Oxford is lucky to have a great many wonderful restaurants available. Some offer take-away services for evening meals (you can have a table in our dining room if you wish to order-in of an evening) and most of the local establishments will be open with the relevant safety measures in place.
